Hi, I’m Madalina gheza

I am a dedicated singing teacher and performer, with a lifelong passion for music. I began my journey with a BA (Hons) in Popular Music Performance from the University of Chester and recently earned my Master's in Voice Pedagogy from the Voice Study Centre.

Along the way, I’ve gained accreditation from BAST and ViP and am also certified as a Vocal Health First Aider (VHFA), ensuring a strong foundation in vocal care.

As the lead singer of Liverpool’s funk band, The Soul Rays, I’ve had the privilege of performing alongside artists like Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, The Sugarhill Gang, Dub Pistols, and Gabrielle, among many others.

With over 10 years of teaching experience, and 20 performing, I’ve worked with students of all ages and skill levels, both privately and in various performing arts schools throughout Liverpool.

In my private studio, I offer 1-2-1 lessons, driven by my belief that everyone has the potential to sing beautifully. I’m passionate about helping others discover their voice through the knowledge and experience I’ve gained.

My Approach

  • Personalised Plans for Your Unique Vocal Journey

My teaching approach to singing is holistic, recognising that every voice is unique and each student comes with their own set of goals, needs, and aspirations. From the very first lesson, I work closely with each student to devise a personalized plan that aligns with their objectives. Whether it's improving vocal range, building confidence, or preparing for a performance, I create a tailored practice routine that supports consistent growth. We regularly revisit these goals to ensure that progress is being made, while also making room for new aspirations as the student evolves.

  • Prioritising Vocal Health and Freedom

A central focus in my teaching is vocal health and freedom. Singing should feel effortless and joyful, and that starts with building a foundation of healthy vocal habits. I prioritise exercises and techniques that not only strengthen the voice but also promote long-term vocal wellness. By fostering awareness of proper breath support, alignment, and vocal placement, my students learn to sing with greater ease and expression, unlocking their true vocal potential.

  • Patience and Understanding Every Step of the Way

I believe in the power of patience. Learning to sing is a journey, and I’m dedicated to guiding my students with care and understanding. I know that developing vocal skills can be challenging, so I make sure to listen closely to my students, offering encouragement and adjusting our approach based on their needs. This creates a safe, supportive environment where students feel empowered to explore their voice without fear of judgment or pressure.

  • Nurturing Authentic Expression and Long-Term Growth

Ultimately, my goal is to help each student find their authentic voice and enjoy the process of learning. Through attentive listening, customized plans, and a strong emphasis on vocal freedom, I aim to provide an enriching experience that nurtures both the technical and expressive sides of singing. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced vocalist, I’m here to support you every step of the way as we work toward your singing aspirations.
